It rarely snows here. It snowed a couple of weeks ago and I didn't have a hat to wear.  Cheesy

Another child sick today so I'm looking through my stash for a project to work on between cleaning and caring. Wish these kiddos would stay well!

Just did two projects with some of the fabric that I recently added to my stash from the thrift store:
a circle scarf:

and a blanket:

The plaid fabric is a wool blend and the backing is fleece. All bought at the thrift store. It felt pretty good to use that fabric right away. I used up all of the plaid. I still have about 1.5 yds of the fleece, but I plan on using it for backing for some baby blankets.

Kookalo-I meant to say earlier, I can't believe how many hats you are getting done. What a great use of all that yarn stash.

Thanks for all the nice compliments everyone. Now to tackle the rest of the huge pile of fabric! Wink

I just donated 3 large totes of leftover costume fabrics... it hurt to watch them go, but we don't really make many costumes at the moment, and they are all large scraps (I'm not very good at judging how much I'll need when buying) And they went to someone who can use them!

I am working on a couple of little zipper "wallets" for my boys for their allowance/chore money/savings/tithing stuff. I hope to have those done tomorrow.

I was really proud that I didn't spend any money on craft supplies yet this year, but then I realized I bought myself a silhouette portrait when they were 40% off with some vinyl... so I guess I'm not doing as well as I thought I was. Though I am hoping the silhouette will help me to rid myself of some fabric.
