My biggest organizational challenge is figuring out what to do with all the leftover stuff after I've finished a project.  Anybody have a system for dealing with that?

I saw somewhere that that is called "craftermath." I love that term.

I have a bag under my sewing machine that I drop all the little fabric scraps in (it's a rule, if it's big enough to be a quilt square, I have to cut it RIGHT THEN and put it in the quilt square box, otherwise it goes in the bag).  I actually stuffed the Dalek with fabric scraps, after I made a faux-lining out of some stashed beige fabric so you wouldn't see the rainbow of fabric poking through.  The crochet is dense enough that it doesn't show any lumps.

I was saving all my fabric scraps like that to someday stuff a duct tape dummy of myself, so working on costumes would be easier...

I donate all my scraps to a local school, being a TOC, I listen to teachers and when I hear there is a need, that's the school that will get them, the current lucky school is where my niece goes, so they'll get a delivery on Monday:) just in time for they're yearly art program

silk81- Thanks, I really love that bag that you posted. I may have to make a small one similar to that for shopping!

Please tell me if you do and we can go figure it out together. I really love the concept and was ready to buy it. I contacted the seller if they would ship outside Norway but I never heard back from them.

I had a glorious snow day today and managed to get some de-stashing done!



I used a sheet of plastic canvas and about 2 skeins of yarn to make these beards. They were super easy to make and I definitely plan to make more in the future!

I found plastic canvas in my local store, I'd never come across it before and was rather excited to spot it  it means my sister and her wife can have matching beards next time I have an occaison to craft for them

I need a cobweb catcher. I usually use the broom, but it doesn't grab them as easily as something cottony.

I test drove the cobweb catcher at my sisters today and I was very happy with the result apart from when one of the chains snagged on a nail in the wooden ceiling beams and I had to fetch a chair to stand on and rescue it *lol*
