Frustrated!
I had been in a lot of pain this last week and have been having a medium bad flare up of arthritis brought on by over doing it for the last month and by wrenching my left knee from stepping wrong and finally it was beginning to lessen so just this morning after cleaning up after the party I started organizing the art room and moving my rolling (and non rolling) plastic dressers around to get the best usage of space.  I figured out where my drafting table can go best and where to move the bookcases, then moved them around til they fit.
I bought 4 cardboard bankers boxes and 8 clear shoe boxes and 2 clear plastic bins that are about twice that size of the shoe boxes and was all ready to bring in the remaining dressers, empty them of random junk, clean them and figure out where to put them...and so of courseI fell on the ice and have wrenched my other knee to the point where every movement makes me want to cry
I have all of this motivation and just walking from room to room or laying down or shifting in a chair is agony.  I have end stage (bone on bone) arthritis and I am half way between cortisone shots so there is no point going to the dr, I just have to wait it out and hope the pain goes away soon and my motivation hangs on.

I'm sorry you are in such pain. It takes a lot of courage knowing your condition to even be moving all that stuff. Hope you get to feeling better.

I destashed today working on the JJ dolls, but they are so small, no noticeable difference.

Inspiration without application is moot.

llisaredd, just not buying more is a large part of the battle with clutter.

I understand there are some raw feelings on this, but I see the clutter/stash debate as this.

If you personally see it as stash, something that enhances your life, it is stash.

If your possessions are not something that enhances your life, it is clutter.

trinalocakary, I am so sorry about your knees. That stinks. Sad

Pretty bowl AIMR. It is amazing how your 'ugly' fabric makes such lovely bowls.

WOW, perfect, I don't have much fabric I would consider ugly but this would be a great use. Can you use your sewing machine? I can't imagine hand stitching all of that.

I do use my sewing machine--zig zag stitch on widest you have, long stitches...you must use cloth clothesline, not nylon, or, I sometimes use cheapo macrame cord...I break a lot of needles anyway... Cheesy

I always buy too much fabric for my quilts and I get tired of fabrics quickly, so using them up in a disguised way helps me get the projects done...I am not a floral person, so if I "inherit" floral fabrics, I tear them into strips for future use...

I splashed out 4 on a storage box today,it's supposed to go under your bed but I don't have the right kind of bed for hiding things under - which is a blessing really  Cheesy I'm going to try and get one every week to help tame the stash. I need to be able to see what I've got to use it effectively.
We're a whole week into January and despite seeing lots of SALE SALESALE!!!signs I have not spent anything on supplies  Smiley

I'm with you on the florals. I went into the living room to watch a show, and crocheted up a pair of headset cozies. 3 wips there so my goal will be to be crafting if I'm wasting time watching TV. So far I'm one third though a hat and have made 4 pairs of cozies. Working on the mood scarf will use up most of the yarn.

Is your mood scarf like the weather scarves and things people are making at the moment Lovesclutter?
