I often over-dye old clothing, it gives them a new lease of life  Cheesy Although to be honest I often dye new clothes too! I think I'll dye the pink/peach one with orange.

Nothing gets your butt in gear to de-stash like avoiding packing!

Avoiding anything is great for crafting  Grin

Finished my turquoise skirt today and made a lace t-shirt. Two horrible pics to follow  Undecided

I've almost finished a day-glo orange skirt but it's midnight now and I don't want to upset the neighbours as my sewing room is adjoined to their bedroom  Roll Eyes
I have no idea what this orange fabric is but it feels nice so I thought I'd use it  Grin I also went through my fabric stash again and got rid of a huge pile of pieces that wouldn't really be big enough to use, there's not much point in saving them "just because".

Todays destash is brought to you by the colour Orange  Grin

The under tier has a edging of white lace as I have about 1000 metres of white lace  Wink

You destashing to make a new wardrobe is just wonderful...

How did you make the top?  Is it lace fabric? Or did you knit it?

I keep forgetting that lace can be dyed...I have spools and spools of the white lace (I used to make dance costumes...Cheesy)...it would be nice to use some of it up...

It's lace fabric, another unbelievable bargain that I just don't know what to do with now I own it all *lol* but I couldn't pass up 3 for the whole bolt when it's usually more than that a metre!

I just traced around a t-shirt that I like the fit of and used a narrow zig-zag stitch to sew it.

I would be lovely as an overlay for a skirt as well...a summer tank top dress?

lol--I was just thinking that one of the challenges is to use up a whole bolt of fabric...but who buys the whole bolt?  I mean, besides  you, Kookie! Grin

I've been considering making a dress, I've seen a lot of sheer dresses recently worn with either a modest slip dress or for the young and carefree just their underwear.

I'm sure are other fools thrifty shoppers out there who have bought by the bolt  Grin You'd have thought I would have learned my lesson after the swimsuit fabric bargain but no  Wink

(I have purchased bolts...but usually of solids like black or white...or stuff I think I can use to make backs of many quilts...we have a fabric outlet store nearby...I just have to stay out...)

I just spent more money on sock yarn...two were for a prize but the other four? I am sort of beating myself up today... Sad

Kookaloo, I've been loving all the clothes you've made! and heck, 3 dollars for a whole bolt of lace fabric? I would have been tempted myself, and I don't sew!
I destashed odd bits of ribbon and some trims I wasn't using, but couldn't throw out. I got to run a craft night at a library where the kids decorated journals. It's only a tiny bit of my stash gone, but it's something. ^^
I haven't been crafting much at all recently, and I need to!
