I wear black all year round...I think the bright colors on the bottom makes it summery for sure!

ha The Leia hat is so funny!

loving all those tiny slippers..

texscapper--nice burp cloths--you have been cranking them out!

I used up about one miniature ball of yarn to make a few knit tops for my Skipper doll, who has been laying naked in a box for many years waiting for some decent clothes... Cheesy  I will take pictures once I get the bottoms made... Cheesy

Kookaloo_Starr - your skirt is lovely!  I think the stripes have a summer vibe to them!

To counteract the black I made this dress. I call it my Backyard Sundress as I will never wear it anywhere else  Cheesy
A big rectangle with two rows of elastic sewn across the top, the straps are grosgrain ribbon covered in the dress fabric as it is really swimsuit fabric and super stretchy!

and I'm wearing it outside in the sunshine now whilst reading my book  Grin

K-star--you are so inspirational with your wardrobe...I wish I had the energy to remake 80% of the stuff I have in my closet...most of it no longer fits (too big or too small!)...how do you figure out what to make?

I would wear that dress!  Toss on a cardi and you are good to go!  Cute flats...big denim bag...it is a very nice summer dress, in my opinion!

I decide what I actually need and then go and make something else entirely  Wink *lol* I was pretty good today and made a skirt I needed, a dress that will be useful and have almost finished a vest/camisole. A lot of the time it all depends on which bits of fabric will work together to actually make something wearable. Like the striped fabric on the skirt, there's not much else I could have used it for and the pieces I've used for the vest again it was two remnants that were about the right size  Grin Pics to follow.

Are they clothes you already have?  Sorry to ask so many questions, but I am really trying hard to get rid of my old clothing but there are things I love about each piece...can't wait to see what else you do!

No need to apologise for asking questions  Smiley Todays efforts weren't clothing recons, they're built from scratch from my oddments  Grin

I'm really pleased with how this one came out. I had the front pieces of the pattern but no back, straps or facing so I made those bits up as I went along  Wink I cut the back waaaay to big but then pleated it to fit and I'm glad I made that mistake as I love the look of the pleats.

I used three different fabrics in this, the daisy print, the turquoise and a navy scrap for the front facing. All little bits that weren't big enough to make much of anything else  Grin

This evening I'm working on a knee length bias cut skirt in turquoise with pink butterflies  Cheesy I don't usually make anything cut on the bias as it seems so wasteful of the fabric but today in a pile of clothes sent to me from my SiL I found a bias cut skirt. I tried it on and it fits OK and I like the way it looks on me but I really don't like the pink & peach plaid fabric so I have used it as a template to make one in my colours  Grin

Here it is pre-hemming, I read that you have to leave items cut on the bias overnight to give the fabric chance to relax and drop before you try to even up the hemline.
The skirt I modelled it on has an elastic back and a drawstring front but I have just put elastic all the way around and will had a faux tie at the centre front.

Turquoise is so much better than peach...I never thought about dyeing old clothes...I really like that skirt!
