I appologize this is a bit off topic in this thread, but Did you guys ever hear of the guy who traded a red paper clip for a house?  Well, indirectly.  He traded the paper clip for one thing, and kept trading up, and ended up with a house in the end.  pretty much for free.  So, with that said, it`s not impossible to start with nothing (or very little) and find a way to make things work.  I think he used craigslist and kijiji mostly to find the trades.

K-star and LC, sending hopes and good thoughts your way. Money is super tight here as well, so I know what that feels like.

I got a little more stash used up. I had bought some cute hand towels last Easter (yep, almost a year ago.) to make baby bibs out of for gifts to have on hand. Finally got around to sewing them up:

here's one on a doll:

I have a few more of these I think I need to sew up. It would also get rid of the t-shirt ribbing I bought for these.

I used up a 60" x 80" piece of fabric and a ton of wadding to make a new mattress for the dogs bed  Smiley It wasn't fun sewing but it was necessary sewing! I don't have a pic although if I make a new cover for the dog bed I will take one then.

ehinders, that is such a great idea to turn hand towles into bibs. Must pick one up for my new 'niece'.

Belladune, if you think about it, that is sort of crafting. Taking pretty much nothing and creating wonderful things. I need to do more of that sort of creating. It makes me so happy and pleased with myself.
