Why is it when I try to organize and clean, I end up making a bigger mess?

I haven't made a ton of progress on organising or with any of my projects, but I did "borrow" the idea of putting up a rod with curtain clippies on it.  I haven't done anything with it yet.  But it is there for when I'm ready for it!
I've had a white polkadot curtain panel that's been sitting around for some time that would be perfect for this month's project, but I can't think of what to do with it... Well, I guess I still have a couple of weeks for inspiration to strike!

Why is it when I try to organize and clean, I end up making a bigger mess?

I was grizzling about the same thing myself this weekend. I was sorting out this year's Christmas cards, ready for cutting about to make next years Christmas cards and ended up with shredded bits of cardboard all over the study. Nevermind, by the time I'd finished I had dozens of stage 1 card toppers and a lot less card stored in random stuff.

Also, having tidied up previously, when hubby asked for a loan of my tools, I could tell him exactly where they were and he could go and get them, allowing me to continue with the gardening I was doing. Win all round, . I love having a tidy house, why can't I keep it that way?

intrigued by the giant mitten, sounds awesome!
I did a painting last night, so thats one less board when it goes to its new owner.
Pinned a backing to a quilt top thats been lingering, and have started sewing that.
Not a massive amount this week but getting re inspired reading the posts.

Im in the SCA, a medieval group and we have a guy who is an amazing archer, I painted it for him, its a reasonable likeness,

ps finished the quilt, so thats out of the craft room now too, ready to be dropped off.

You are so multi-talented ScrappySue!  I love the tonal painting...can't wait to see your quilt as well--I am a fan of them!

There is no way I am able to start organizing my painting and paper room this year--it is more than I can handle...so for now, I muddle through the room, grab what I need, and take it to my sewing room to work on...at least I am going to work hard to keep that one room neater and ready to work on projects!

J Kieviet thanks for the pic because I realized I need music back here and the speakers on the desktop suck.

Mellerific, always when cleaning we have to pull out to see what we have so we can put it in its right place or trash or give.

Have been working on a swap, so I only get about 2 15 minutes sessions, but it easier this way.
