Lovesclutter, what a huge change!  Hope it isn't too traumatic.   Tongue  But since you love clutter, a smaller space shouldn't be too much of a problem if you can reduce the stash proportionally.....  Kiss

Thanks for the warm welcome Smiley

Belladune -- I have actually heard the same thing from other mom vets.  I'm a writer and I'm told I'll probably get more done WITH kids than without.  Something about being on your own always seems to mean it can be "done later..." Wink  Also, I love love love your yarns.  Since we're cloth diapering I've been drooling over pretty wool a lot lately.

lovesclutter -- That's definitely a huge change.  But, hopefully, it's one for the better!

I went through my yarn stash and discovered that I've got a TON of pink baby yarn.  I have no idea why.  It's very pretty but not really useful.  I'm expecting a boy, a pregnant friend is expecting twin boys, and I only know of older girls.  I might make a dolly set for my goddaughters, since their birthdays are coming up.

I thought about dying it, but since it's plain old acrylic I think that might take a while...plus my husband might lock me up if I decide now is the time to start a new craft.

I dyed a pink acrylic sweater red with no problems...I just doubled the RIT dye amount...I used a bucket so as not to mess up the tub or washer...I loved the new color.

Awe, Thanks Mrs.Awesome Pants! Wool longies are super cute!  I wish you luck with the cloth diapers. I tried and failed. But lots of people are super successful with it.

Lovesclutter! Glad you popped in to say hello. I do hope everything is well and good, despite the massive down sizing.

Here's the latest mostly finished stuff from my pile of gotta-get-that-done-sometime!

2 creepy dollies with lovely felted wool frocks (from an ugly old skirt I shrunk up in the wash)

Sock squid designed by my young man. Dig those lips!

Finally finished the binding on this pocket quilt/wall-hanging.

Leather soles for these awesome slipper socks I ordered online. The leather is from an old coat I got at the thrift store.

Hair, eyes and hearts cut out from small wool scraps for another batch of sweater monsters.

And a lot of time spent chopping up the teeny tiny wool scraps for... I don't know what.

CLM -- I wish I had your drive to get things done.  I feel like I've only done bits and bobs all summer.  Good work!

I have boxes of vintage piano music.  Some as old as 1890's!  PM me if you'd like some!

CLM, that's definitely some great destashing and recycling.  I also hate throwing out little bits and bobs.  It took a lot of self-discipline to toss out the bucket of scraps I had collected after my recent diaper-sewing binge.

Speaking of which, I thought I'd share a photo of one I'd made recently.  I was able to complete 3 before running out of elastic and metal snaps.  I've got a stack of cuts pinned and waiting to be sewn and another that's sewn but needs the finishing touches.

Made from recycled terrycloth and a yard-sale receiving blanket Smiley
