Our puppy chewed through the wire of my sister's headphones just above the jack so I couldn't splice it to fix them. Instead of letting her throw them out, I ripped out the wire then crocheted covers and turned then into one of a kind earmuffs.

It's not hard. Just chain until you can wrap the chain around the ear piece then join it with a slip stitch and crochet in the round. Check periodically to see if it's going to cover the entire piece and when it's finished, close it.

Funnily enough, I had that blue yarn in my stash. I have so much yarn! I have an 18 gallon storage bin packed full. I had more than that, but I gave some to my mom.
