...K-star--you are so lucky to have men that will wear your hats...

My neighbor, loves the hats I make, so far he has asked for a GIR hat (Invader Zim), a brain slug (Futurama), and one plain grey in cotton that he has been wearing every day since I made it last summer. He's a married 34 year old going on 16. (;

My husband though...not interested.

I guess now we're into Feb I can't claim 6 in a month but yup, 6 in a week - it's a stress buster. My brain can switch off (if I'm lucky) and my hands carry on doing their thing. Mindless counting calms me.
I made 3/4 of another camo hat and frogged it this evening and I'm about 2/3 of the way through another Divine  Grin This one is  Cascade Fixation in purple/pink/orange and it is most certainly going to be MINE  Grin

K-Star, you crochet like me! I can finish a hat in two hours if I'm focused on the work. It's the best time to listen to Pandora radio or a book on tape. (:

I'm almost at the point where I'll say "hats enough for now" and move on to something else but I love hats both to wear and to make  Cheesy

Another day,another hat  Cheesy

Had to finish it off with a row of sc in black as I ran out of the camo with 20 stitches to go! That's it then, no more camo yarn in my stash  Grin

I'm looking for another pattern to use for the coming week, I think I've used Divine enough this week  Smiley

My FIL loved my crochet creations and always wanted one.  My DH, not so much.  You're lucky to have a near recipient for your creations! Cheesy

Oh I know I'm lucky, my 18 yr old son would rather have a cold head than wear a "Mum made" hat  Cheesy

I started this just now http://www.rheatheylia.com/index.php?page=patterns&id=6 in Caron Simply Soft, unsure of the official names of the colours. It's pink & purple. I dislike using a plastic hook but have no alternative.

I don't like the plastic hooks either...the aluminum ones are the best for me.

Me too Miss Barbara, I like my Susan Bates aluminium ones for yarn but don't have one in 8mm, oddly enough I don't like the Bates inline heads for thread crochet, my favourite thread hooks are vintage Lee Wards ones  Smiley

My latest hat "Purely Puffs"

I prefer aluminum as well. I started with plastic, and have a full bamboo set that I don't like nearly as much as my aluminum.
