You are on a roll, K-Star!  Do you just wing the hats?  I am trying to learn how to know when to increase/decrease to just make a basic hat!

I love the one you made your hubby...the colors and design are interesting---it is hard to find men hats except for maybe a basic knit watch cap...

Good idea to have a bag of charity hats...most of my hats end up there as I just love making them...

I just wing the basic beanies. I try them on either mine or Matts head to see where to stop increasing  Grin I've got a big head and he has a small head so its man sized for me and ladies size for him  Grin I like the way the hdc worked for the blue stripes. He wants thicker stripes (red) in the next one and I have just enough of the camo yarn left to oblige him (but not until he gets round to baking me some flapjacks!  Wink ) It is very much like the "Boy Beanie" in the Happy Hooker book I made him one from there ages ago but I no longer have the book.

My Divine is coming along nicely but it seems to eat up a lot of yarn, it might have to be three colours  Embarrassed

Finished the Divine  Grin I will certainly be making more of these! I used a 6.5mm and a 5mm hook and three different yarns. The taupe at the bottom is two strands of DK weight but it worked fine. I think I'll make a couple of double stranded ones as I have a lot of DK. I'll probably go down a hook size too as it's a loose fit even on my big noggin  Roll Eyes I might even be keeping this one for myself despite the colours.

I love the three colors!  I need to try that as I love the pattern but don't have enough yarn in one color...it is a very versatile hat in those colors, K-star!  Nice job experimenting!

Divine #2, I ran out of yarn just before the rib but had some plain grey on hand. Purple next...

Kookaloo, I love both of your Divine hats! Very nice!

And, I should really pack up the hats for the free cookies charity donation this weekend. I don't know if I'll get in any hat crochet time this weekend- I'll be crazy busy and I have a baby blanket to finish (I'm using the linen stitch, and while it's easy and I love it, it doesn't increase in size very quickly...). But, when I head out on vacation, I may tote along a few balls of yarn and a hat pattern... maybe I can make a baby hat with the leftover yarn from the blanket!

I finished my first hat right before January ended! Yay!

I have been haging on to some purple Hometown USA since they came out with the line, and I finally made a basic hat with it. I love it. Cheesy

Pattern: Easy peasy 30 minute hat pattern

moxiepurple, the hat looks lovely in my favourite colour  Grin
I finished another Divine last night, my 6th hat of the week  Roll Eyes it's a stress related thing but we do what we can to keep under control, right?

My 25 yr old son wants a white one and hubby has a request in for another camo hat so I'll probably hit 8 hats for the week and then nothing much will happen for a while.

Love the purple hat!

K-star--you are so lucky to have men that will wear your hats...mine are so picky...unless it is a smooth knitted watchcap in blue, black or grey, they will not be worn!

8 hats in a week?  You mean the month, right? a week? wow!
