13 in 2013 Hat-a-Long

Here's hat #2! It's the PDQ hat from Stitch N' Bitch The Happy Hooker. Instead of the 3 colors in the pattern, I used 4. This hat is definitely not me, so it's going in the gift/give-away pile (most likely fate of all of the hats ).



I couldn't find the buttons I wanted (hot pink or orange flowers) in a small enough size, so I went with the green ones. This hat was super easy and quick (I carried the color change yarns up the inside so only 8 ends to weave instead of 26).

It's made with 2 colors of Caron Simply Soft Brites, and 2 Red Heart Super Saver (the orange is slightly thinner, but it worked with the CSS). All yarns from the stash...

Those are bright happy colors!  I think the green button works well!  I have not seen that hat....I am finding a lot of free patterns on Favecrafts.com!  This weekend I hope to spend some more time on ravelry looking at crochet patterns instead of knitting ones!

Thanks! I do like it, but it doesn't go with anything I own. If I had a black wool coat, I'd wear it with that, but I don't have a black wool coat... and don't have the time to make one right now...

The reason I have a black coat is because I needed something for all my hats and scarves to go with

I saw a fabulous coat in the store last year, but almost choked when I saw the price tag. It was in my hands before I bothered to check the cost, and it killed me to put it back, but it was about $200.

But, I always look, just in case there's a great sale...

MiLady--I was viewing the images and saw your finished hats!  The kitty cat is so cute and I really love that spiral hat!

Here is my spiraling cables hat.  I can't post the straight cables one because it is for a swap partner...



Then, using the Voyager as a guide, I made this one...I just filled in the holes with a different color



I also joined the knit hats, so I am going to take a little break from crochet since I am ahead a bit!
