13 in 2013 Hat-a-Long

I hear you on the destash sista!  I'm working destash only projects for my 13 hats, that's one of my personal conditions for this Hat-a-long.  With that stash I've got around here I could probably make 600 hats too! LOL  Though I'll be content to make the 13 I'm committed to here.

Although I am wearing the hats I make here for a day or two, they will be donated to the homeless shelter...I usually only wear hats I get in swaps for myself!

I did!  It was a bit too short and large for my head, so I added another round and then finished it with single crochet to tighten it up a bit...I wish I had more colors, but I am trying to destash with what I have...

You have the opposite problem to me, I wish I had less colours but the same quantity of wool, I have an entire rainbow of little balls and refuse to buy any more until I've used most of it up!

oh I have not even touched my tiny balls of wools...  I have almost an entire bin of those...not enough to make an entire hat, maybe a few rows...about tennis ball size or smaller...

I am thinking of doing that ten stitch blanket to get those used up...I desperately need to make room as my mother may be moving in with us this spring!

My first 2 hats were made from stash yarn, and that's the plan for the rest, now that I think about it I have more than enough yarn to make it through all 13

And, I was just writing out my shopping list for Jo-Ann Fabrics, and when I popped on here to check the thread, I realized that I had forgotten to put the buttons for my hat on the list! I'm taking the hat with me to find the perfect match. When I get back later tonight, I'll stitch them on and try to get a decent picture by the glow of the Ott-Lite

Every once in a while, I go on a washcloth kick. I'm actually due to make a few, I think. I have a large cone of blue and white variegated cotton yarn to use up. I lost all of the patterns I had saved, along with the list of the ones that I had already made, but I figure that, since I already hit the 50 mark, it's okay for me to repeat patterns now. I was pretty proud of myself for making 50 cloths from 50 patterns!

I suppose I could use the cotton yarn to make a hat... a cute little cotton baby hat, perhaps. I do have friends expecting a boy in about a month, so I'll have to pick out a pattern.

And then make dishcloths with the rest...

I did buy buttons for my hat. I couldn't get exactly what I wanted because they were too big. The button selection wasn't that great, so the options were limited. I won't get to sew them on until at least Thursday...

 Also, everyone, please post more patterns...I need a few more on my list that are crochet!

So far this year, I knitted four hats and crocheted four hats...I like having a few in the queue!
