Using this first pattern, I recently finished 8 to be sent to the students who survived the recent tragedy in Newtown. A group of us made over 600 beanies for the students. We collaborated via Facebook, thus the silly thumb hat (which I won't cheat and count in this list).

Wow! 600 beanies!Amazing! And, the little thumb beanie is adorable. My students would love those (and I'd get no lessons taught in class...).

craftygem, I can't wait to see how the nubby brim cloche looks once it's finished. You'll have to let me know if it's easy to make. It's definitely not a hat I could wear, but I have a friend who would look great in it!
