Here is the Scottish Viking I made on request for a friend.
I used the body pattern from the pillow pixie elf by Peggytoes: http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/toy/pillow-pixi...

though I changed the ears and made the rest up, the hair took ages but I wanted it to look wild and woolly, which I think looked great. Then I did a sewn kilt and felt shirt as well as a sporran and a kilt pin…what do you think? My friend loved it! oh and a polymer clay viking axe and viking hammer with bamboo handles.

Here he is whilst his outfit was in progress...but still has his shirt on to keep his dignity (o= ha!

with kilt on but without sash at this stage...

Close up of some of his details...

His back

with sash

with viking hat and shield

a close look at his eyes and eye brows

another close up this time of his kilt pin and pouch

with his shield

I made them out of polymer clay and bamboo sticks.

With his tools/weapons:

I also made detachable genitals as she wanted some for a laugh but not all the time so that her kids wouldn't see, but I didn't take a photo of them...they had the hook velcro on them so that they just stuck to the wool when wanting to.   Grin

What do you think of him?

He's wonderful. I love all of his little details and the abundance of his hair. The thought of detachable gentialia made me laugh too. Smiley

He rocks because of all the little details, but your POST rocks because of this phrase: "I also made detachable genitals..."  Grin

I will do personal swaps. Cheesy
I have a few skeins of Caron Simply Soft I would love to supply swap with anyone for other types of yarn, I am finding the yarn a tad hard to work with.
