I finally got some work done this afternoon and did a practice piece for a technique I was working on. I think it's going to work! Maybe I'll start cutting this weekend. I have some fabrics I can already use!

As a newbie I'm such a chicken to pull the trigger on actually sewing!  I have a few elements done and crossing my fingers that they end up even SIMILAR to what's in my mind!

I've sewn together my front piece, and added  one element in which I used a technique I haven't really used before........which I think I'm gonna do more of for a couple reasons...1) look 2) simplicity...I hope!

Basted, ready to quilt, then a few last embellishments.  And I even bought the best fabric in my post holiday fabric binge for binding.

Yesterday was a serious binge spending gift cards from my birthday and Christmas... Over 25 meters of fabric. Including 32 fat quarters. I love fat quarters....


after discussion with hubby he has me rethinking things. if anyone wants to look at a pic.  and give me an opinion between two choices.  or offer an third, fourth or eleventy millionth option.  i can send via email. not you funthreads....
