Just got through reading some entries, sounds like I'm not the only one who's still in the plotting phase. I plan on getting a bunch done this weekend though (3 day weekend, thanks MLK!). I'm thinking I might even ask the boyfriend to be on baby duty for like 3 hours straight so I can get some uninterrupted work done. Smiley

I have not started ANYTHING! Ugh. Had the flu again, my kids moved which mean I was very busy and now my hubby is having an open house for my 50th birthday on Sunday....he is awesome. But that means I am busy cleaning with him! After Sunday I will be very focused!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Judy! Happy Birthday to you! *sung perfectly on key with the voice of an angel of course* Grin

Work has sucked up every spare second this week so no progress yet beyond my sketch and some notes. BUT I have plans to attack the craft store fabric aisle in a day or so Cheesy

Happy Birthday, Judy!

I cut out my fabric yesterday, but I used fray check on 2-3 of the pieces and it discolored one drastically.  Does anyone know of any alternatives to fray check?

what is fray check?

A thin, glue-like liquid that helps keep fabric from fraying Smiley

I had planned to work a bit on some of my projects this weekend, but I have a friend that is moving from FL to VA and wants to stay at my place for a weekend instead of making the trip all in one go. I'm excited to see him and hang out, but bummed because I had to change my RSVP on a craft meetup and now I have to shove all my crafty bits into storage until next week so he can use the guest bed Wink

I did buy a few more materials for the quilt I am making, and I feel good about how I am going to put it together. Still need to finish cutting and get some backing material.

What's the fiber content of your fabric that discolored?

I is a cotton/poly broadcloth.  I don't remember the exact percentages of the two though.
