I have finished quilting and I am quite excited about how it is coming together.  Now I just have to face my nemesis, binding.

So being a newbie I have been so daunted, until TODAY!  I got some great affirmation, feedback and suggestions when I took my (so far) top piece with me to Hobby Lobby.  I love helpful workers and customers! (sigh of relief)

Oh, I just love Hobby Lobby!  Mine's still in my list of things to do pile!  I'm thinking I need a trip to the fabric store to splurge a wee bit.  Grin

I about had a breakdown tonight... I was finishing up this diaper bag that has been preventing me from working on the quilt, when I decided to sew through a metal ring.... and than my machine just decided it was going to skip gobs of stitches and break lots of needles.... that would have put a damper on getting not just the bag done but also working on my quilt for andrea! Luckily, after a bit of TLC (and fretting), I sorted out some issues, and my poor old machine is running again <3

Sadly, my easy answer for the last detail is not so easy.  Now I have to rethink how to do it.  Otherwise it is all finished.

So I needed a protractor for drawing part of my quilt. I went to walmart...probably my first mistake. Didn't see one in the office supply area so I asked at customer service...second mistake. They had NO clue what I was asking for and looked at me like I was stupid. Repeated the word 4 or 5 time and just shrugged at me. Come on -- really -- I know we don't use them that much anymore but -- really.

I realized I hadn't checked in for quite a while so I thought I'd stop by and my goodness! There's a gallery already. I've been working on my quilt here and there. If I had a good 3-4 hour chunk of time I could get all the quilting done, but that can be hard to do with a baby...and no designated sewing space. Every time I want to sew I have to set it all up, then tear it all down. If I had a place I could just sew in little spurts here and there.

Anyways...time to go check out that gallery!

((EDIT: My first thought after looking at the gallery: "Welp. My quilt sucks." Haha. My fiance assures me it doesn't though. I always get super anxious about whatever I make for swaps. I hope he's right.))

Still here, I haven't made any progress this week due to flu like symptoms, and on top of just not feeling like it I don't want to pass anything on.  I did get a PM that my partner has sent so I can't wait for it to get here.
