I've been wanting to knit myself some mittens for a while, so when our snow storm hit, I decided I needed some warm wooly mittens!!

So I made these in Green Mountain Spinnery's "Wonderfully Woolly" yarn, which seems like wonderful, tough wearing yarn (I've used their yarn for a sweater, and am making a second sweater with their yarn... I love it!) perfect for mittens!!!

Anything cabled typically jumps out at me and says "KNIT ME!" and while searching for patterns, this pattern did just that, so I did Wink

Here is my ravelry project page, which has more pictures: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/mandyandbingley/fallow-mittens

You should! Smiley

I love making fingerless mitts, too. I love the option of wearing the little .99 cent gloves under them.

ha ha funny that you mention that...I bought a few sets of these really thin gloves by the check out counter in Joann's--perfect to wear under fingerless mitts!  They had black, grey and cream--which go with the colors I use!
