Happy Fibre Friday!  It's the last one of 2012!  I do have more to share but can't upload more then one photo from my phone Huh  Anyway I do want you all to have a look at this little note regarding future Fibre Fridays.

Please share if you've been up to some spinning!

I have a question for all you spinners and dyers out there, please!  A family friend gave me some yarn for Xmas, and some of the yarn was in plastic packaging, and rolled up like handspun yarn, and the colors are beautiful.  I had DH ask her (it's mostly his friend) if the yarn was hand-dyed and spun and she said yes, that she ordered it special.

But I've been the lucky recipient of hand spun and dyed yarn on Craftster, and the yarn that I'm asking about here seems to be too uniform and "perfect" (for lack of a better word) to be the "real deal".

What do you ladies/gentlemen think?

It could be hand dyed mill spun.  And there are spinners out there who are able to create insanely uniform yarns.  It really is hard to say.

Yay! Fiber Friday! I spun a skein or 2 a few weeks ago but never got to post it and won't be able to until we get back. i will totally post when we get home, though. And I'll even post on that other thread about the future of FF.
So what is that fiber, Bella? And is it... 2 ply?

Haha! The important details!  It's 2ply, 8 oz, about200+ yards, it's a merino top from Paradise Fibers.

Yay for fiber goodness! My dad built me a wheel for Christmas, so I have my first yarn from it! I'm thinking it's not complete yet. I'm probably going to spin some more and then ply it. Possibly dye it after that?

150 yards, .9 oz of natural alpaca

Wow, Indigo roses, that's really nice. 150 yards from less than one ounce? *mind blown*
