Noodle-bug dear, let me tell you, they are right, I'm sure we are matched up for a reason. I will love whatever you've made because YOU made it! Cheesy

Ditto what everyone is expressing. I have a degree in art, but I've always been more technician or craftsman than artist. In other words, I'm better at using the tools than dreaming up the art. And still, working in this JJ style is difficult for me. Maybe it's a huge departure from my personality...?

That being said, I am trying to take all the parts you like about JJ dolls and put it into the doll in my lap. I have put it down MANY times, and it's changed clothing concepts about 3-4 major times. Art and craft takes time.

And wingsofclay, thanks ever so much for the tute! We Should do a doll swap, with your technique!

wingsof clay- thank you for the tute. i paint my dolls but have never tried the crackle effect.

i agree with everyone else, if you are getting frustrated with any art project leave it and when you get back to it you will see it in a different light.

I have one more piece to finish up then I can send. I'm thinking of sending in a bubble-wrap envelope like the dotees. I'll have to pad it extra just in case.

There will be no waiting til Friday, because I am supposed to be studying for my ATI TEAS-V testing on Friday. Darn 4hr entrance exams! Life will be so much better after that is over!

pilarfarmer , your steampunk inspired Junker Jane dolls are really unique and a wonderful addition to the gallery! I really liked the zipper for the mouth! I also really like the splashes of bold red that your dolls had!

What wonderful dolls so far! I can't wait to start seeing some more! I am putting finishing touches on mine to send out! My house is finally getting back to normal and am really excited to finish!

I'm trying to finish up "pilarfarmer" JJ doll all most done just a little bit more to do. I'll get it out tomorrow or send Friday!!  I think it's turning out pretty good. It's been a little hard to get her all junked up. But it's getting there. I had a great time making her. It's really been fun letting go & to do different things I don't usually do.
