Leslie, thanks for the nice comments. I didn't think the little doll looked like a JJ doll either, so I thought she was cute the way she was.

"Aimr" Thank you for your lovely comments. The fused plastic is several bags ironed together, & then you can cut it in shapes etc.

"Rosie1981" Love your 2 sided JJ doll & the canvas sign pretty cool!

In other news, I received a doll-filled package today from sullengal. Two, count'em, TWO JJ-Style dolls.
And since I'm crazy, too, I've named them Lorelei and Penelope.

Here is Lorelei:

The stitching is cool and different and I love the fabrics you used. And her curly yarn hair is just right.

Her best pal is Penelope:



The pigtails (?) ears (?) remind me of my little sis when were young.

I love that her body is patch-y and I think it's funny that we both made a collar on our dolls.

And my extra, you ask? Well, it's a JJ-inspired bird!

Oh my Smmarrt, what a pair they are. I love the arms and legs especially. Sullengal, that bird is such a nice extra so Smmarrt needs to make a room/house/display for all three together. LOL

I love the mouth of Lorelei so much, exactly as I saw on many JJ dolls!
And those pigtails (in Dutch we say horsetails) of Penelope are awesome, so lovely.
The collar is a nice touch, why didn't I think of that?

And a little bird. I love that star-button on its wing!

Sullengal - I too love Lorelie's lips. The heart is a cute touch. And Penelope's pigtails remind me of horns, which I love, so they are really cool!

Well, Wendiek and gozer said everything I wanted to say about the cute package from sullengal! So I second what they said, plus, I love that you took the uneven limbs to the extreme on both girls, with one super-short and one extra-long arm (Lorelei) and leg (Penelope).  Great birdy too--great package!

Thanks for the sweet comments everyone! I was super inspired to make these super-dark and creepy JJ dolls, but they kept ending up pretty cutsie! And once I made one, she needed a friend.

It's easy, seriously. Scribbling with Sharpies and then dripping or spraying with rubbing alcohol. I have a few in progress shots on Flickr. And you can find tutorials on YouTube.
