YAY!!! Sweet crafties, thank u all so much for the kind words!!! Glad u love the doll, and especially glad that LESLIE loves the doll!

I was so obsessed with making it, and researching and trying new techniques for it, so I will definitely create a post with step-by-step tips for others to use too.

Here was the process in a nut shell:

-Draft doll pattern on paper; cut out pieces from linen.
-Sew doll by machine; turn and stuff.
-***Brush entire doll with clear acrylic Liquitex Gesso. Let dry. Repeat this 3 times, for 3 or 4 coats, drying between each.
-Sand gessoed doll with fine grit sandpaper.
-Use acrylic paint to create doll's shirt, bottoms, etc etc etc.
-Create polymer clay eyes, and bake. Attach with crazy glue.
-***Paint entire doll with DECO-ART brand "One Step Crackle"...let dry fully.
-Create a watery "wash" using black and copper acrylics and water.
-Working in sections, brush onto doll, and immediately wipe away with damp cloth. The paint fills the cracks.

Prob. more steps in there too, but I will have to make a more formal tute Smiley
