Thanks for the love for Sharalee's "believe" flag!

I used a new fabric marker technique for the pink ribbon.
It's supposed to look like watercolor painting.
You draw a bit on the outside edges and take a flat angled brush, dip it in regular water, then draw the color toward the middle.

So much fun, can't wait to try it more.

All of these flags are FANTASTIC! I have so much admiration for the talent here!

I got my second flag today! Melissaurus has absolutely nailed my personal taste on this:



It's mostly paper, machine-sewn onto fabric, with hand-embroidered lettering. The sepia brown and lace (especially the lace lappets on the sides - longer than my scanner can capture) give it a wonderfully Victorian feel which is perfectly suited to the John Muir quote.

Thanks so much for this, Melissa! I only hope you like my flag half as much as I love this!

Abbeeroad--the silhouette of the couple on your flag, along with all the details, is beautiful and imaginitive.  Love it!

Silentblair--that's a great "Believe" flag, and I loved the pink ribbon even before you told how it was made--now I love it more!

I was gone for a few days and came back to a lot of very gorgeous flags.

I love how the abstract design on the pathways quilt looks almost like a stone pathway.

The silhouette of a couple with text on the flag made by abbeeroad is so beautiful, and a very neat way to combine themes.

I love the ribbon on the believe flag it looks so 3-D.  I may have to play with this marker technique in the future.

The fabric on the flag made by witchhippie is an awesome combination.

I also love the flag made by melissaurus, I would have never guessed it was paper though.  I also love how the background is lace, it gives the flag a very delicate look.
