I love all of the flags so much.  And the words that everyone chose!  I really need to up my embroidery game, I am sooooo slow at it, I'd love to do some of these techniques though, they are so lovely!  Nice work everyone Smiley

I just got another absolutely amazing flag! This time from Abbeeroad. I suggested the word "Love" or a quote from my wedding reading (The Ent and the Entwife by JRR Tolkien). And once again I had a partner combine suggestions in a very lovely way Smiley

I really love all the fabrics she used, and the little beads and bells. She also added small touches of hand stitching which is quite nice. I can't imagine how long it must have taken to stamp all of those letters! Abbeeroad, you are amazing Cheesy

Got my first flag today, from the ever-wonderful Witchhippie.

The three fabrics here are just the best ever. And tiny colour-coordinated bells! (The envelope kept making faint, tantalizing jingle sounds as I was trying to open it.) But wait, there's more!

The purple fabric glimpsed behind the moon makes a feature appearance on the back! The purple is even more rich and splendid in person. It might be my favourite fabric of the year (so far).

And Witchhippie even risked the wrath of our ever-vigilant organizers (don't tell them) by including a forbidden EXTRA - a little pouch of herbal incense: sage, jasper, cedar, lavender and juniper. It smells as good as it looks. Cheesy

Thanks so much for this, Jeannette! I love the flag, and the incense is a wonderful treat. (She and I are partners in another swap right now, so I get a chance to reciprocate. Wink)

gosssshhhhh!
stickerchic87--i love your "think outside the box". that is so colorful and sweet. that is really a beautiful multimedia flag.

playswithneedles--i love your message of hope x 2. and i think that how your bird fringes down to meet with the pretty stray strands from hope is lovely. same with your pathways flag for silentblair. your reverse applique came out great!

cabaute's alice flag is perfect. and,you know, i love me the unfinished edges. would be so nice to have book illustrated in fabric flags like this.

aw abbeeroad, that is a lovely lovely love. how you did the bells is crazy wonderful. really great stitching on the whole flag. every part is fun to look at.

silentblair--your believe flag is really touching--beautifully done and a message for everyone. i esp like the stitching that you did around the blue pieced background. it creates a great motion. great.

witchhippie--LOVE the fabric that you used for this flag and wow the lettering that you stitched is awesome. and bells again off the end--i LOVE this idea! chiming in the wind.  wulf--did you say an extra?!! oh oh sorry, extra? Sneaky and if im ever incarcerated and need a forbidden extra...slick how witchhippie put that on the back making it quite a gray area Cheesy
