Or the effing boston bruins.

This one was hard to make. I'm a Habs fan. The bruins are like the mortal enemy. But fir xmas i decided to make the future bil a quilt.  Not an easy peasy simple squares with printed bruins fabric on it tho. Nooo. Too simple. (and the nhl hasn't really caught on to licencing yet)

I dont even have a finished pic of this one as i sewed the binding and washed it on the 24th and dried and snipped the last few threads on the 25th on my way out the door.

When i get a good pic. I will update. But for now.

This quilt killed my cutting board, almost gave me stitches, and sent my sewing machine to the doctor twice, it was bled on and the cat barfed on it all while being made. I sure hope the love he feels for it can overcome the chaos that went into its creation.

As a major Bruins fan - I have to applaud your selflessness as a Habs fan!  And how freakin' cool is that quilt?!  Wicked Awesome Sauce!  Huge points for the future SIL!

P.S. Edit:  What a great gift for a poor, sad hockey fan to snuggle up in and soothe their sorrows!  This lockout stinks.   Angry

This quilt is gorgeous! All your hard work paid off.  I'm sure it will be appreciated -and what a conversation starter it will be! Not only does he have an incredible quilt but good stories to go along with it.

That is amazing...though the team choice is rather unfortunate (says the Blackhawks fan). But, at least it wasn't Vancouver or Detroit Smiley

This is really amazing, though - I love that its pieced together the way it is - and hopefully it got your future BIL through some serious lockout blues! (HA! Blues...get it? Right...I'll be going now...)

Wooo hooo go Blues!  Why, yes, I do live in St. Louis.  Why do you ask?  Grin

You had to overcome a lot to get this one finished.  I hope he appreciates it!  I like the pixel approach rather than applique.  Well done!

Very nice job! Not a hockey fan but I understand the work it takes to do this.

Sloth, this is gorgeous.  I'm guessing the most of the trouble was caused by it being the wrong team.  Now if it had been the Blues! or the Wings! (yes, schizo! long story, walk a fine line!)
