Oh, and I also decided I want to make baby quilts for my best friend and her mom....auntie and grandma quilts! The baby's due early January but I'm not going to push myself to make them "on time."

This is my latest (and last) project for 2013.  It's a hot mat for my neighbor for Christmas.  Despite looking so thin, it has 2 layers of heat resistant batting and some regular batting.  I made it yesterday after seeing some similar ones on the internet.  It's about 8 1/2" square.

That makes 10 projects for the year.  I still have a lot I want to make but I will have to carry them forward to next year.

That hot mat looks so yummy!!

I am pretty sure that all of my WIPs from 2013 are moving into 2014 to be finished, so I should have a great head start on 2014 but a totally wash out for 2013... Grin

I have finished a quilt for my friend Jessica, but haven't taken a photo yet. And I'm working on a hand sewn hexagon quilt (small size) but I had to stop for a while, because of pain in my hand.

It is a lovely hot mat, Homerof2 - it will brighten every table!

One more finish for the year.  This one is a quilted bag.  My first attempt at such a beast.

I have two quilts that just need to have the binding finished which I expect will be finished shortly.  I have another WIP (From my list!!!) most of the way quilted.  I am using my embroidery machine to do the quilting.  It is a learning process for sure. The actual stitching is fast.  It is the hooping and re-hooping that take for ever!

I expect that one will get quilted but I will probably leave the binding for the Mr to do when he is at the art fair in January.  (He does a great job and gets lots of questions when he is sewing.)

There are some truly awesome quilts in this thread.  I was just looking over the pictures. Wow.  All of you large quilt quilters are amazing.

Are we starting a thread for 2014?  Are we upping the ante again?
