Both quilts are just so bright and cheery.

Thank you everyone!  I'm so grateful that Mom could help!  I know what I did wrong.  3 of my blocks were cut incorrectly.   Sad  My Mom always says:  "Accuracy before speed!"  But I didn't listen.  LOL

I love the bee mini quilt!  It's beautiful!

You are smart to listen to your Mom! Wink  Lesson learned--beautiful job!

I FINALLY got a couple of little quilting projects done--two mug rugs!

The binding on this one was a pain because it was too skinny packaged binding from 1965!

Scrappy mug rug using leftover pre-cuts (what else do you use scraps for! Cheesy):

I hope to work on some larger quilts soon!

Very cute! I saw a pattern that I thought would be great for tiny scraps...now I can't rememeber what it was.

I have to say, that is one project I have no interest in making. I'll just enjoy looking at yours when it's done Cheesy

I am using a tutorial by Elizabeth Hartman using one inch gridded interfacing...it is the best way to make this quilt as far as I know! Cheesy

I made a 1/4 inch quilt for an ATC swap once...it was fun and so easy...mostly cutting...

I love those mug rugs always!   I think I could probably handle the postage stamp quilt using the fused backing.  However, I made a couple table runners using that method and they ended up pretty stiff.  I'm not sure it would be that good for a bed quilt.  But then again, perhaps I didn't do it right.  Maybe using fusible, soluble stabilizer would be ok.
