I've got two finishes this year so far! They were both partially or mostly finished last year and both were actually for Craftster friends.

One was a baby quilt for a former mod, posted here~

And the other was a wall hanging that was a personal swap with mcook72667

Those are great Mare.  I really like the giant block.  I'm going to have to give paper piecing another try some day but...  Yours is fantastic.

I love the giant block quilt, those are really fun.
I also love the nesting doll one.  I just picked up some nesting doll fabric last week

Great quilts MareMare!

I finished a second quilt top. They are both made from some charm squares that I had in my stash. I just made up the patterns for the two quilts on my own, and I think (I know) that I must be terrible at math. They both ended up quite a bit bigger than I intended. (Like 7 inches wider and longer). Which I guess really wouldn't be too bad, except now my backing fabric isn't wide enough! It's about an inch and a half too small.

Oh no! Stupid math ruins everything! Can you just cut off a bit from one or both sides? Or does that destroy the pattern?
