Hmm, I do tend to be more likely to do things if I'm publicly committed to them...even if the "public" consists of invisible internet friends. Tongue So, my list, in no order except the one I thought of them in:

1. My oldest UFA (started 2010): my Muppet quilt. It's pieced, layered, and basted - all that remains is the quilting. But still, if I have this done by the end of January it'll be some sort of miracle. DONE It's time to meet the Muppet quilt

2. Mini art quilt for swap DONE Hobbit mini art quilt

3. Baby quilt for my nephew (expected mid-May) DONE Under the Sea baby quilt

4. Mini quilt for my niece's doll (her "big sister" gift) DONE

5. Sunflower quilt for me to have at work (our office gets COLD)

6. Quilt for my parents DONE Birds in the wilderness

7. Christmas tree skirt

8. Orca table runner (from a kit I was given) DONE Orca table runner

9. Quilt for a friend's daughter DONE Dragons and fairies and castles, oh my!

10. Oven mitts & water bottle carrier for the steampunk swap DONE Beware the kraken! Counting these as one item because they're both quite small

11. Quilted bag for the booklover's swap DONE Bag with "origami" bird on it

12. Bookshelf quilt using blocks from the quilting block swap

13. Quilt for my older niece's birthday DONE Double-sided bedspread

14. Quilt that's being donated as a door prize for a friend's fundraising event DONE Tilting Four Patch

I'm sure I'll have more projects as the year goes along, whether through swaps or people announcing they're pregnant or getting married or whatever.

i started english paper piecing them years ago as a travel project, to keep me occupied at swim lessons or hockey practices. they werent on my list last year. they were in storage. in oct 11 we tore our old house down and built a new one. we moved in in march and the wip bucket got put in the closet. Smiley pulled out now.  and almost empty. not that all the quilts are made. but i have backing for most of them now. Cheesy

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

Not on the list, but I just finished a UFO- a cat nap mat for some friends in California. It's essentially an over-sized placemat. Here's a picture of it:

The weird thing is this thing has the best mitered corners I've ever made. I might start using bias tape as binding more often if I'll get these kind of results.

Those do look like nice corners!  I always spend forever fiddling with mine.  I know there are "foolproof" ways of doing them, but... I must be whatever is beyond "fool" and they are NOT "meproof"!  Wink

I found a super awesome way to do binding the other day. It is like two teeny weeny tiny differences from my usual binding, but makes a huge difference. I don't hand sew binding, I'm a lazy rebel like that, and in this way instead of machine stitching it on 1/4 inch from the corners, you turn it 90*, 1/4 inch away at the first corner and sew off the quilt, and then you start the other side of the corner from the very edge. I'm sure that makes no sense, but see this:

specifically:

Also, I've found when machine stitching binding, I actually attach it to the back and fold over to the front, that way I can stitch the edge of the binding down slowly and carefully and it looks nice.

Love the fabric...nice binding and corners!

Mare--that is how I do my binding...doubling it up gives such a clean edge to work with...
