Crum-diddly, cross a few projects off my list and remember another one to add that I'd like to get done this year! I have a Stack n Whack book and I bought some large scale Amy Butler fabric last year to use with it. I'm not always a huge Amy Butler fan, but this is gorgeous! Has anyone done Stack n Whack before? I know there's a really similar technique that has a different name that I can't think of right now.

Also, I am going to post my mini to-do list for the next few days/weeks so I can concentrate on getting a few things done without looking at my mega list Cheesy

1. Finish 1 block for do.good stitches charity quilt
2. Stitch quilt blocks into top for do.good stitches charity quilt/make back
3. Finish 1-2 BOM blocks for charity guild project by Feb meeting
4. Pick fabrics/design for pink and gray baby quilt

Just an FYI, alwaysinmyroom and I decided to move this thread to the Quilting board, off of the Quiltalong board! It now resides in Quilting D&Q. If you're already getting replies it doesn't really matter, but thought I'd note that so nobody's confused Smiley

It just made more sense to put it where more quilters could find it and hopefully, play along! Cheesy

I bet a lot of the regular members who roam this board do 13 or more quilting projects a year!

I did a stack and whack called map of the states.  I am sure they are all the same thing.

I can't find the post, but here is a pic.

The only trick is that you have to measure the smallest side when you are finished and trim all your blocks to that.  THEN cut the blocks that go between at that size.  I tried to make them all fit the size I pre-cut.  It was not a pretty day.

Oh that's cute! I'm not sure it's the same method I'm talking about though, this is the one where you do like 6 or 8 layers of fabric, carefully measured out so that you are cutting through the exact same repeats, and then reassembling them into different kind of circular /pinwheel units?

Kinda like this~

Kalidescope quilting? Is that the other term you are looking for.  I realllly want to do one. Just seems like SO much of one fabric to buy...  Smiley

It seems like they are called that too! Ooh I think I found the one I was thinking of, this Parrot Quilt posted on the quilting board--One Block Wonder?

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=388339.0

I think I only bought like 3 yards, so will see what I can do with that! It might just be a table runner or something?
