Regarding Fiber Friday

Like I've said, fiber Fridays are still good!!   But if its Monday, and you've taken pictures of a skein you are in love with, post it then!  You are of course welcome to share on Friday in a fiber Friday thread. And it'll be all that quicker to post,  since your pictures are uploaded.
It's like sharing what you made in a swap.  Everything you make deserves its own thread! We create something most of the world is unaware of.  Think of all the new people coming to craftster, who might not have ever seen hand spun. The more we flood the thumbnail images on the front page with hand spun yarn, the more its out there!  So spin on and post away!

I haven't been really active on this board, but it was because of FF that I was inspired to take up spinning. I lurked on here for over a year before I took the plunge and ordered a set of drop spindles, then about a year after that I ordered a spinning wheel. I just wanted to say that no matter where, or how, completed yarns are posted I am always inspired by what others share here. I'd like to post more regularly, myself. I'm one of those people who usually doesn't spin much in the Summer, because the fiber tends to stick to my sweaty palms. Come to think of it, I don't do much knitting in the Summer months either. I need to fix that.

I think it could help if instead of having a new thread every Friday, that there can be one thread for Fiber Friday and people post in that on Friday and add to what is already there. That way if you want to look back you can and there won't be a ton of posts at once that get other things buried. Just a thought.

I miss Fiber Friday!  I have been away from Craftster (and spinning) for months.  I got into a kick of doing other types of crafts besides spinning, but looking back at the great Fiber Fridays from the Best of 2012 awards makes me want to start spinning again!

I like the idea of just posting the yarns whenever and wherever we can.  I never would have DREAMED of taking up spinning without seeing Fiber Fridays.  In fact, the idea of making my own yarn wasn't something I ever even conceived of before seeing thumbnails of handspun yarn.  I think it's cool for folks to re-post their yarns in a Fiber Friday, even if they posted it earlier in the week, because Fiber Fridays are such a fun summary of what everyone's been working on.

I miss you guys, and I miss Fiber Fridays!

I watched my Jacey Boggs "Sit and Spin" DVD the other day, just to get me revved up for spinning.  I won't have anything this week, but maybe next Friday!  :-)

I can't wait to get my copy of that DVD!  I got a special gift for christmas this year, i became a backer of her next project, Ply magazine.  (Thanks Hubby! ) and the level of backership I choose(got) included the DvD.   Her spin art DVD is great too.
