Regarding Fiber Friday

Hey folks!  I know we all love fibre Friday, but lately it's not been happening, or when it does, there are just a few posts of yarn.  I don't want to say we abolish fibre Friday, but what I want to encourage is that you post when ever you want/have the time/have something to share, wether it be one skein, a whole lot of yarn, a batt, or a whole lot of batts.  As to fibre Friday, you are welcome to share photos of the ones you've already posted earlier in the week, because someone might not have seen it yet. 
If it hadn't been for fibre Friday, I would never have known about spinning.  And I wonder, what would have happened if I hadn't been on that Friday, would I have seen that thumbnail image?  I want more people to stumble upon this amazing art form, and the more often it's posted, the more chances of someone who had no idea that you could even make yarn will see it and at the very least learn something new, and at the most have someone take up spinning and join us!
Please share your thoughts and feelings about this!  Are there any other ways to make this board more active? If you have any ideas, please share them here!

I really like this idea. I can never make Fiber Fridays! I think a lot of people miss it too, and then never get around to posting when they DO have time.

I think these are great ideas.  I still need to take the plunge and start spinning the batts I have and I definitely want to share them in FF!

I think it's a great idea. I've been spinning, but I keep missing Fiber Friday with school and work. So it seems like we'd have more opportunity to celebrate everyone's efforts this way.

Yeah! You know, people are weird about their spinning. I've read people saying how they don't spin in the summer because it's too warm to be handling all that fiber but then they don't spin in the winter because they have knitting projects to do... I'm so confused! I need to start spinning again. I agree that sometimes we don't remember on Friday, but I still like calling it "Fiber Friday" for some reason and grouping all our current efforts into one thread. I hate feeling like I'm wasting a whole thread for just my one or 2 recent spins so if others are spinning then posting all together makes it feel more communal. Yay community!

Aww, posting your own thread is never a waste! I understand wanting the larger community project feeling though.

Jungrrl is right!  It's never ever a waste to post 1 or 2 yarns!  The more yarn posted, on any given day will spread the spinning love.  Post on!  And if you want to post on a Friday, call it Fibre Friday!

Thanks for your answer, Belledune.  I didn't want to make something for me or someone else and boast about it be hand-dyed/spun and their telling me that it's not.

At least now I'll have an answer at the ready!

My spinning was interrupted by Christmas projects. But my dad built me a wheel for Christmas, so I will will definitely be doing some posting soon! Fiber Friday is what got me interested in spinning, too!

Belladune got me interested in spinning with some yarn she sent me in an MOH swap (making the new MOH calenders now, EEP!) but FF probably sealed the deal for me.
