Wauw, That1girl, you are working fast! Your bags are lovely. And it is a nice idea to pretty up the towels.
- and: of course you can do it! Come on, there are still more than 24 hours left of 2013!

Here are more from me! Spinning, rolags, knitting, weaving! The spinning and rolags are from the past couple of days. The others are older things I never posted. I still need to get pictures of more things later.

181. Forgot to include my snowballs from the Candy Cane Jane costume - since we are a comedy troupe, it was a skit where I shunned one of the volunteers (acting the part of the enamored old man) and he, in turn, got the residents to "get me back" by throwing snowballs at me during my dance.  I think they liked that a little too much... so I had to come up with a snowball that I could have tossed at me and not hurt.  I started (on the left) with a crocheted ball, but those took too long, even with huge yarn and hook.  Then I tried a sock, but didn't like the texture (I have a snowman-in-progress of another sock, but it was a different brand and way nicer).  Then I tried a monkey fist knot, which worked and I did make some others, but the winner was just four ellipses of fleece sewn quickly into a ball - it took a bit of time hand-sewing the openings closed (which is why I thought the knots would be faster) but I wasn't exactly picky about it.  Then I sewed up a quick snowball bag.

And a better shot of my Candy Cane Jane costume:

182. And I have a few WIPs that I actually finished!  First up was a knitted bookmark I started for a Harry Potter swap (Hufflepuff!), but didn't finish because of time constraints.  It's double-knit (the picture shows the front and back) and, most annoyingly, I had thin yellow yarn but had to split some 4-ply black yarn, so a lot of knots and untwisting and it made it really hard to knit.  And I made on paw print slightly larger.  But it's done, finally - 2-ply yarn on size 1 needles:

183-185. Turbans!  I still have some cut out but I managed to finish 3 more so far... I can't figure out a way to incorporate more of it in the machine sewing, so each one takes a lot of hand sewing... and I was being distracted by a TV show I got on DVD from the library, so only three got done.  I hope to get a few more finished this week.  They're for a friend who dances professionally at a restaurant, and puts them on the guys she pulls up to teach them bellydance.

186. Green tiara - this one has been sitting partially finished for months (go go more UFOs!) because I ran out of 28-guage wire to wrap the bottom edge in beads.  I finally got more wire, and finished putting the seed beads along the bottom.  DONE!

187. Scarf and hat for my LV...  Tiny thin mohair knit of tiny needles...

vampedangel14, I love the green and blue yarn: the texture and colors are beautiful.

Smeddley, yhe snow balls look so soft, I would have pelted you with them too!  I love your candy Jane costume. The colors and the design. Is it you in the picture? Beautiful smile!
