stillatthetop, how cool to have worked on old fashioned printing presses.  I used emulsion films when I was in school, but wanted to try the liquid emulsion option via Speedball.  It worked great.  I guess the only downside is that the emulsion once activated only can last about 4 months in the refrigerator.  (That's why I'm trying to crank out all my ideas as fast as I can!)

Thanks Always.  You are always so sweet. Getting a Yudu really isn't necessary.  You can always burn them with a hanging lightbulb!  Smiley

Thanks Kbrison!  I was wondering myself about the cardmaking one.  The problem would be getting screens.  You can't clean the pre-burned ones.  Sad  And why choose between sewing and the Yudu?   I've been thinking about screening up some fabrics to sew!  Smiley

Thanks Bookstorebabe!!  Lana loves it and decided to wear it to school today!  Smiley

Seriously? A hanging light bulb? Great to know that.

Why choose? Space constraints. I don't have room to have both working at once and it's such a bugger to store either machine while I'm using the other. That's why my Yudu is generally in storage in my garage and my sewing machine is generally in use. Think I just need an auditorium-sized craft space!

Once my garage is remodeled, I bet I can find more space in there...I am like kbrison...my sewing machines take up the most space...I also have a swift (yarn winder) that takes us a lot of space...so many things would be fun to try at least once before buying...anyone need a knitting machine? Wink  Used once... Wink...a button making machine? used once....etc. etc.

Challenge #2
I made some pillowcases for Christmas gifts. The Asian inspired ones are for DD#2 to go with the kimono quilt I'm still working on for her and my sil. The horses are for one of my great-nieces who is horse crazy.

The fingerless mitts are for my eldest niece.

I love how you added the extra piece between the case and the cuff!

They are really a designer touch!

Minimum, with this bright colors, the baby will still enjoy the blanket when she is not a baby anymore.

Underthemountain, I am impressed by the perfection of your tshirts. I now have to learn more about this technique and this light bulb thing.

Kbrison, I like how you used unconventional fabrics for your pillows. It gives them punch.

gloves I hate  gloves but my husband asked for some to match the hat I made him. and I do hate fingers I can never get them right. I was so embarrassed of them I just went to the store and brought him a plain black pair. he still keeps the gloves in the car for scrapping ice.

I have space problems too.  Smiley  I've now taken over the basement space with my Yudu stuff.

Ooh, a knitting machine.  Smiley  What kind of button machine?
