KK, as always, I'm in love with your jewelry Cheesy

Here's my latest work:

It pays homage to Red Hot Riding Hood and Rabbit, one of my favorite characters from LJ Phillips' webcomic.

First off, thank you everyone for your well wishes...I am managing to hold it together and be strong for my mom and the rest of the family...sometimes it sucks to be first born, but, it is my responsibility that I welcome most days...

wow--I have seen things in categories I don't spend a lot of time in...very impressed with your drawing skills, FreekieGeekie!

that1girl...gloves?  Man...are fingers hard to do?  So tiny...

bookstorebabe---I could also ask you if you ever sleep...so many projects!  I like your shadowboxes...each one of your "guns" are so interesting...I admire people who have an eye for repurposing!

lovely jewelry, KK...

Trina--glad to hear your knee is on the mend...

stickerchic--your mini quilts are just fabulous!!

vampedangel--oh wow...what lovely colors!!  What do you do with the yarns you spin?  I see a lot of spun yarns on Craftster so do most people spin to use the yarn for their own projects or do you sell them?  I just love the textures you get!

Right now I use my yarn in my own projects. Maybe some day I will sell them, but not until I get better. I am still a newbie at everything. I'm also trying to find the perfect project for each yarn.  There are many knit/crochet projects that I see but I don't have enough yarn for them. Right now I'm still only getting small amounts. The most recent is only 120 yards. I could make a short scarf or cowl but I'm trying to see what else it out there. I want to make a shawl/wrap at some point, but that will depend on how long it takes me to make a suitable yarn.

made a baby blanket for DS1's teacher - she's due any day now, so colours were easy to pick, if a little unconventional! Luckily she loved them Smiley

(hadn't blocked it here)

Really proud of myself - set a goal and completed! Been struggling with life and especially crafting for several months, so this was a real confidence boost Smiley

I wouldn't have thought to mix solid blocks in with the typical Granny squares. Really like the effect!

Wow, it's been forever since I shared.  What awesome goodies you've all been making!!  I am esp in awe of the granny square blanket.  I really wish I could make a granny square!

I've been playing around with my Yudu.  I figured that I should since I got the thing back in 2009.  Embarrassed
First I printed a pre-burned screen to get the feel of the process.

Then I actually burned my own screens and made shirts for my co-workers and an elements tee for Lana.  It's a bummer that not all names will work clean, but luckily hers does.

I'm having fun and going thru my list of ideas!  Smiley

Hope you're all having a crafty day!

Very interesting. No clue what a Yudu is, but I get the point. I worked on old fashioned printing presses, so I think you are talking the E-up negative films. I did those for screen printers, and the old timey paddle press type equipment. I burned plates for presses, though. Not actual screens, but have been researching things since I have been "paper making". Very nice job. Looks like you are doing well with things. Good clean prints!!! I like your project!

mini_mum--love and hugs to you...I know things have been hard...but you have put your efforts into making something for someone else...and I just love those colors so much...I think it is my favorite grouping (orange is my new favorite color...or was it purple...?) Grin

Lana is just the luckiest kid ever!!  What a fantastic job!  I am trying hard not to put any more machines on my Christmas list (which I buy for myself... Wink )...but I love what you have done...keep on posting your projects to show the machine off!

Love Lana's elements shirt. Makes me think about clearing out some work space so I can use my Yudu. Nope! Too much sewing to do right now. Maybe after the holidays. Wish I had the smaller size meant for cardmaking. Might actually find space to use it.
