have just gone into slight craft-panic last night as I've realised that I have less than 3 weeks to finish & print out the tutorial instructions for the beaded scissors case, complete a sample beaded snowflake brooch and full make another beaded spiral necklace (this time in black & silver)  Shocked

Plus I haven't managed to work on my hoopl-along hoop all month and there's only 8 days left in the month!

Oh and I forgot that I also have 2 garters & a wedding signature book to complete asap for a commision!

EEEK!  how did I get so behind on my todo list??  Huh

Yaay! Im so glad Smiley Now I just have to teach 12/15 other ladies how to make it   Cheesy  I have actually managed to get the instruction leaflet done tonight (with the exception of fixing 1 photograph and printing all the copies) Thought it wouldnt take me long.....ah, yeah...3 hours & some swearing later!  Roll Eyes

So that one more thing of my list Smiley I did also finish two other things on my list at the weekend:

first of 5 pairs of baby socks for my Boss who is due in Feb (dont think this really classes as a "holiday" gift Smiley )

and the last house for my mums Orkney Inchie House collection - this ones a little larger, more an 'inch and a half house' Cheesy (the blank Inchie beside it is to show the scale)

So that makes 32 for 50 this year.

Your houses are incredible...

and yes, socks for a baby is a special occasion! I love the colors...I have added little ties to baby socks so moms can pin them inside clothing...babies tend to slip out of socks easily and it would be a shame to lose handmade ones!!!

Thanks  Cheesy Im just using up the leftover sock yarn from other projects.

Re: Inchie houses - We have just finished an Inchie house swap. there is a link on the post to a template you can use. I made mine from good water colour paper and painted & fine line inked my designs.

Check out the Gallery for what the others made Cheesy

We basically all used the same template but bushbaby added to hers and made these amazing realistic houses to look like a village in Scotland...I just love them so much!!

Ok, so I'm a little behind on posting.  I'm trying to get caught up from my harvest.

My latest spoons.  I tried to use some exotic hardwoods.  I was successful, but I really had to work for these.  They are myrtlewood, padauk, rosewood, basswood and walnut.  These are all oiled, but not polished.

I also tried carving a piece of emu egg.  The egg starts out dark dreen and as you carve down through it, the colors change.  This piece has nothing added to it.

I am also working on carving my first lovespoon.  This one isn't quite finished, but it's close.
