Jkievit, your mom is lucky to have a daughter who cares about her and makes her a beautiful sweater. It is even better since it is made with love.

Alwaysinmyroom, the picture of the apron in front of a giant chicken made me laugh. It is a very cute apron, and at the same time, wide enough to really protect the cook.

Pinokeo, those syrup are beautiful to look at, especially the golden color one. I bet they are delicious too.

Thanks!  My partner and I had discussed how many aprons are just not that functional!  She sent me her chest and height so I could custom make one for her to cover while she cooks!  Advantages of being able to sew, right?

Hi everyone!  I haven't been on much, getting ready for baby bean's arrival and turning the big 30 on the 1st.  She has yet to make her appearance, and today is her due date.  Come on, baby!  I've been on maternity leave for a week now, and I haven't been a complete slacker in my time off.  Here's what I've gotten done recently (in the past month).

Disposable baby wipes!  Made with natural ingredients to keep harmful chemicals away from my baby.

Homemade baby oil, baby powder, and diaper rash cream.

Hairclips for the babies in my lives.

More baby hairclips.

And some baby headbands.

And today's project, baby leggings!!  These are made from adult knee high socks and were super fun and easy to make, even for a novice sewer, like myself.

And I thought I would share baby bean's nursery with you all, since its been a project in its own to get it all together.

And here are the links to the tutorials to make some of the stuff above, just in case you are interested:

I love your baby room jilly beans!  It will look great with a colourful crocheted blanket in it!  Wink. (Which should be in the mail by the weekend!)

Hope Baby Bean arrives soon, but you know that babies are notorious for taking their own sweet time to arrive. At least her room is ready even if she's not! Love the bright pink rug and light fixture against the neutral walls.

You've done a nice job on the leggings and headbands. So nice to be able to craft for our own families, isn't it?

Sending you calming, relaxing wishes! Remember: just breathe! Wink

Ooh, tiny baby things!  Kiss

I especially love the idea of putting a mirror next to the change table! So much safer than a dangly mobile, and even more likely to keep Baby Bean's attention!
