Lana's T-shirt turned out really well, but you know what will follow. All her friends will want one, too! Cheesy It's a "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" phenomena.

I love the music note utm! You guys put me totally to shame this year. I've barely done anything. I'm a slacker this year! Need to do a tally to see exactly how much I have done.

I've been horrible at keeping up with posting my projects but have been lurking as much as possible!! You all never cease to amaze me.

I have some exciting news that I HAD to share here because you are all my crafty community and the only other people I know as obsessed (enthusiastic!!) with making things as me...

I JUST FOUND OUT I WILL BE COMPETING IN THE SUPER ONLINE SEWING BEE (only one of ten contestants out of all of North America)!!!

CONGRATS Smashu!!  That's huge!!!

Hehe, I'd do it in a heartbeat if they wanted to do a fundraiser (I'd burn a real screen though), esp if they gave some of the proceeds to Jim Papoulis, the composer.  He has a charity called Foundation for Small Voices that brings music and toys/household goods to underprivileged children in the US. He's amazing!! http://www.foundationforsmallvoices.org/about/jim-papoulis

Are you joking?  You have crafted way more and way better stuff that I have Mama.  I did have fun making this tee though and will be making a camera one for me from the  Cricut Brooklyn cartridge soon.  Smiley

I haven't gotten much done recently, but here's what I have gotten done over the past couple weeks.  First off, a castle and peg people I painted for my niece's 4th birthday.  I got the castle from Michael's and the peg people from Hobby Lobby.

To start I sanded it, then added 3 coats of a weathered oak stain.  Afterwards I added grey acrylic paint to the edges to make stones and added some scrapbooking paper rugs and crests to the walls.  I then coated the whole thing in a layer of polyurethane (which I didn't like the end result of, but oh well!).

And here are all the peg people to go with.

I also freezer paper stenciled some onsies for my mom who has a baby shower for a coworker this week.

oh, and CONGRATS smashu!!!  YAY YAY YAY!

I finally finished a quilt that I'd started (and then not touched since) last summer! It's a bit wonky, but it is my first quilt and I just wanted a little quilt to throw on when I get a bit cold in the dorms.

Also, congrats smashu! I looked up the bee and it looks really cool!
