Lovely necklace, bushbaby!

Mio--what a pretty pattern for the blanket...the colors are wonderful...how nice to donate it...you do a lot of charities, but I guess it is because you make so much stuff! Cheesy

that1girl--love that sweater...I like the ribbon idea to make it a bit more form fitting...not sure if I am up for making a sweater yet so I admire those who do!

It took three loads of laundry  to wash all of our handmade blankets.  As She Who Does The Washing, I've declared a moratorium on new handmade blankets for at least a year. Tongue

I definitely second April being a weird month.  I started one pair of pants, but otherwise the most crafty thing I've done was giving away my old sewing machine to a friend who wants to learn.

I can't share my yellow project yet.  But then I just thought to look at the April challenge today.  April is definitely a difficult month around here.

Yes! I had way too much Winter. And it's not even officially Winter yet. I've taken to wearing my dressing gown over my clothes when seated at my computer for chunks of time in an effort to keep the heating bills down.

But here it was mostly the two weeks of holidays over Easter and preparing for my son's birthday.

I am in Australia, so Winter is coming for me.

I have so many birthdays in April and May.

That1girl, I have just discovered your cardigan. It is very lovely with the special "holes" ( I can't find a better name) all along the edges. I also like the color you choose.

I found this dress on sale at the thrift store. I loved the fabric but the top was far too short and too "balloony".

So, I un-sew it. I made a skirt and used a white men's crew T-shirt to create a top. Without a serger, the neckline wasn't looking nice so I threaded some elastic inside.

It's a bit wonky but I like it!
