OMG, that cake is amazing.

There are so many inspiring projects going on. Which is good, it helps me on days like today.

Today, I have had setbacks - had to frog my new shawl twice - probably should stop watching Breaking Bad at the same time!!!

Wanted to make some trousers out of this lovely fabric I picked up last year and found that it has significantly frayed - grrrr.

zombie mug rug is now stuck because I can't quite get the last bit.

Off to cast of again...........

Smeddley, you did quite a lot! Beautiful skirts. Are you a belly dancer?

Well, that's the idea, I don't know that I'd call myself much of one, though - our troupe is goofy and fun and we mostly dance at retirement homes (especially the disadvantaged ones).  And since we make nothing off of our dancing, we have to be... frugal with our costumes.  Hence a lot of handmade stuff!

PEST, that cake is amazing!

And Plaidpineapple, even after just making that one skirt for my LV, I have way more respect for people who make doll clothes.  Those things are hard, and yours look perfect!

Renstar, sorry to hear about the frogging.   That is so depressing (though at first I was tired and read it wrong and thought you had an actual frog in your shawl, which was... weird.  Yes, I need more sleep!).

Smeddley, this sounds like a lot of fun. I gather after these nice skirts, you will have to make more for upcoming shows.

Love the doll clothes and the cake, and sewing stuff, and everything.

I am having computer problems, so I will be on only sporadic until I figure out what is going on.

Smeddley - those skirts are gorgeous!  Love it!  What do you mean by "double circle"?  I have to work on some skirts for my Ren Faire costume and I love big full skirts that twirl wonderfully.  Cheesy

P.E.S.T. - beautiful cake!  Fantastic job!

I'm feeling very slack.  Have 12 projects finished this year (of course I had about 3 months of no energy/motivation).  Hoping to get myself together and get some more goodies done soon.  And get all my pictures on here!  I know I shouldn't feel slack but I do.  *kicks self into action*

Why must fandom shirts be so expensive? I like official merch but this will do for now:

It has a few smudges but I can live with it.
That crossbow was a PITA to cut out but it was worth it in the end.
It's own thread

A double circle skirt is two full circles sewn together - a single circle skirt, if you twirled really fast, would fan out as a perfect level disk at your waist.  Most "full skirts" are that, but we have dances that require us to be able to pull the edges of the skirts up over our heads, so the double circle it is!  You can pull both sides straight up and it still hangs to the ground in the front and back.  They're easy enough to make, just takes a bit of math to cut out the main pieces and a lot of patience to sew...

yoopidou - you'd never guess what I spent part of today doing...  *sigh*  It never ends!  And after this one, we already have plans for a summer dance that will require a whole new costume..  o.O

Ok, been super busy so now I have an epic catch up post. Apologies for the pic heavyness.

10 dishcloths commissioned for a market stall

Four Star Wars favors for Master Nine's party (It's not the best shot of the Jawa, but I'm trying not to post too many pictures. It has it's own Rav page)

And the last minute, kid's parent RSVP'd four hours before the party, so only got finished just before cake and isn't in the group photo from the day before, extra favor

A Raa Raa the Noisy Little Lion I finished this morning (recognise that lovely soft, perfect colour yellow yarn AIMR? Wink )

And the moment you've all been waiting for...

And just to give proper impact, to those who have no concept of how epically long a full length season 12 Doctor Who scarf is, here it is (before end weaving or tassels) being held out, full length of my lounge room. It required three children to hold it up off the ground:
