That rocker's going to be awesome when it's done.  Love your other goodies as well.  Soup looks delish.

The embroidery is amazing.  One of the things that I no longer attempt.  Nice work.

Beautiful quilt!  The soup looks yummy and soo healthy...agree too on wanting to see that rocker when it's done.  It's going to be great I know.

Quaggy, that quilt is very imaginative and beautiful.

deathbeforedishes Wow, that is gorgeous work! Great couch and bead work.  Alons-y!

Yofi Can't wait to see how the rocker looks. I have one in nearly the same condition, different style but it is far to much that I want to work on. Mine will be going to the reupholsters to replace the seating. Do you plan on redoing your own seating?

Yofi---I will need to craftalong with you when you do that chair!!!  I think I have the exact same one...it was inherited from my hubby's grandmother and used by his mother when he was a child...that was in 1954, so the rocker is very old indeed...I have recovered it several times, but the wood just looked so bad...I tore off the cushions (they are actually the easy part!)...so far, all I have done is fill all of the holes with wood filler and sand it down...I am thinking of painting it black to make it more modern...staining is not an option since the various "fixes" would require a lot more work than I have time for...

wow--we need an "old rocker" craftalong, RLB--I am not sure how I am going to do the seating on mine either...it is a combo of springs, horsehair, batting, foam...ugh

Thanks everyone!  The hoop was fun to make. Though my feelings for satin floss and how easy it tangles and frays are now set it stone. I think maybe using it for an accent is probably less frustrating.  Cheesy

I have an old wrought iron chair from my husband's great grandma that needs to be fixed up. The seat of it is tearing all to shreds and I know it's beyond a 'historically accurate' repair. It's not a rocker, but it is beautiful. I'd be up to getting in on a old school chair fix up craftalong.  Grin

I like the idea of an 'old rocker craft along' AIMR. Would you want to maybe have it as a c-a-l inside of this c-a-l?

Sadly the front spacer bar on mine is pulling apart, but I've been told it can easily be fixed. Wood work, not my specialty.

But the 'pretty' part? That is mine, all mine to do.  Cheesy

I have a rocking chair that I started refinishing, too! My wood wasn't nearly as nice, so it has a later of paint but needs more...

I also have a couch to reupholster.  How about a furniture-along? Cheesy
