All so wonderful!  I love each thing for a different reason - and I love all of them because they are so very Gorey!

I did a personal swap with ladybugsandbumblebees.  She had requested a door quilt>  She was trying to solve a problem and thought that a pretty art work might help, something that was padded and had a little weight.  I decided to work in things that she loved and help bring spring indoors.

I attached the flowers ,owls, dragonfly, butterfly and snail with safety pins so they can be removed for washing but still  have a 3 D effect.  The felt birdhouse is suspended from chain.

This door quilt was made from craftster love.  In other swaps I have asked for crocheted items to embellish with and I have to give proper thanks to those labors from the following craftsters:

sarahelise....crocheted butterfly
spikefan......snail
moma24boyz.....2 owls

and a frog button from ladybugsandbumblebees

I concur! What a great quilt.
Also, I heart those finger puppets.
And I wish I had such awesome storage (not really for yarn, but other crafty stuff)

Mr.Fantastic and I built this today.  Does it count as a finished project, or should I fill it with yarn first? Grin

That's exactly what I want for yarn storage, only I don't yet have enough yarn to justify one that big (or the space in the house to put it  Roll Eyes ) - I need it shrunk, because I need at least 20 shelves though... please tell me you are going to sort your yarn by colour like I want to, so I can live vicariously through you and your rainbow yarn wall?

Alas, sorry, I'm not!  I was thinking about how I was going to arrange it all, but then I remembered how fast my turnover is, so I just started filling it in a way that made sense at the time.

Here it is filled to about 75% capacity:

Once I get it all the way I want it, I'll take pictures of the whole stash.  (I have other holders, you see ^_-)

Oh!  And those black boxes are all holding scraps.  Two of them have my Bernat Satin / Red Heart Soft / Caron Simply soft scraps, and one has my Bernat Waverly / Vanna's Choice scraps, the others each have one kind of yarn scraps in each, and one box is holding my some of my novelty yarns as the balls are really floppy and I didn't think they'd stack well.

I originally planned to have boxes just in the bottom two rows (so I wouldn't have to crouch down as much), but when we put the thing against the wall, we noticed that it covered up the light switch and the building fire alarm silencer button.  So, I put two of the boxes in the cubbies where those things were (the two in the second row) so that you could easily move the entire contents of that cubby out of the way to access them.  Interestingly, you don't need to remove the box to turn the light on - just bump that box towards the wall. Grin

The boxes from the lower right corner were removed because we needed to put Mr.Fantastic's desk there and it had to be so close that pulling the boxes out would be impossible.  I put some of my longer-term yarn in there. ^_^

Fantasticmio, you might actually own more yarn than my local craft store  Lips sealed

What a lovely quilt!  And to add things from other Craftsters really makes it special!

sheepblue--that was a fun and interesting swap--lots of black and white! Cheesy  Love your hoop...and your totes!!

silvermoon--cute finger puppets!

trina--the fabrics you used made a utilitarian project way more fun!  Love the huge pocket!

pinokeeo--wow--weapons of wood...I think the ax is my favorite as well...

Mio--oh wow wow...so jealous of your yarn storage...and your yarn stash...it must be nice to see it all instead of digging through bins and bags...

My swap partner received in the Doctor Who swap. So I can post this now!

It's embroidered in satin floss on white cotton fabric that has a light pattern to it. It is accented by clear glass seed beads. It's mostly satin stitch, back stitch and a split stitch.

It's another embroidery that was a little tough to send to a new home. Especially with my love for Doctor Who.  But I know it's loved.  Cheesy
