fishstix43 - Oh yes, seeing that close-up I'm pretty sure I know the kind of fabric you're talking about.  I've never thought of working with it, kudos to you for attempting it!  It did work wonderfully for the skirt.

I have several types of fabric I will no longer work with, just because they're not worth the hassle, no matter how pretty they look... but I am getting over my fear of stretch fabrics (I started as a quilter, so cottons were my friend).

I absolutely love love quilts, do you think an afghan is a fair trade for a quilt? I'd love to swap!

Smeddley - I'm still working out a lot of fit issues, so I love knits for giving me that little extra bit of wiggle room on the fit.

mama24boyz - is that a knitted picture?  That is ridiculously awesome! Shocked

That crocheted picture is awesome! How did you do it? Is there a program somewhere that converts pictures to crochet charts? Wow!

mama24boyz... that picture blanket is awesomesauce... seriously.

I tried to make a tier skirt once, it ended badly. I don't like to talk about it.   Embarrassed

I feel like all my crafting lately has been for swaps. I don't mind at all, but I have to wait for packages to arrive... grrrr, then I can post pics.

Some of my nearby facebook acquaintances meet up for stitching and bitching, but if I talk while crocheting, my project ends up all lopsided and incorrect. How anyone can talk and crochet or knit at the same time possesses super powers that I do not.

Thanks meleriffic.  I have tried to just convert pics into a graph using kgchart and it works OK, it would be good I think if you worked charts before, but I got this one from crochetbynumbers.com.  He makes any picture into a written pattern. Its weird to read at first, but then you start seeingg colours as numbers!!! lol  I've heard that you can try to do it yourself with a program online, I forget what it is, its a knitting program, but I haven't tried that way.  He just does them so perfectly!

Well the sell is on Sunday, I need to start looking for a good tackle box for jewelry making stuff because every few days I have to spend time resorting my case I use to take stuff out so I can work when I have coffee or wait for someone
this one is a departure for me I generally don't work with crosses or pearls but I had both...the cross is not upside down it is on a drop chain
It is lovely but even with the ribbon it is very heavy

Love these silver net over black beads but had trouble making them work with anything but I think they work well with a dropped spiderweb
Also a sun catcher

Finally a set of bracelets made from chain that was on a necklace I took apart for the acrylic crystals (the ones that are on the drop end of the bracelets) and small drop beads that were on bracelets that were better as supplies then jewelry
