Wow, beautiful paper quilling Katara! 

Krafty_Karasu, that miniature reminds me of my great uncle and auntie's place.  They were Japanese dancers and had a studio in both Japan and Hawaii.  We used to go to their home for all the family gatherings because it was the only space that could hold all of us.

Hehe, that sounds like my family, very large. We don't even know all of each other. We have cousins we have never seen, all living in the same city.

My son has watched anime with subtitles since his birth, and now can often get the gist of Japanese conversations. But I expect it would be a very hard language to learn, as an adult.

The cherry blossom quilling is very pretty!

that quilling is wonderful! My gran taught us the basics of quilling when she briefly took it up (she briefly took up many crafts, thus her huge collection of stuff!) I think I made a bookmark with a fish with air bubbles and seaweed on it.
