I have been trying out some Ikea "Hacking" the last two months because we needed new furniture! This was my first project. Technically more of an upcycle than a hack I suppose Smiley I broke down a Beddinge futon we were getting rid of and created 6 floor cushions with removable covers. If they are stacked, they take the place of an Ottoman. I can also use them to kneel on when cutting out giant pieces of fabric! (<- chronically bruised knees are thanking me for that lol). I have some images of the work in progress here.

Not sure if this qualifies as a "pet" related project, of if I can sneak it in under February...  But with all the driving back and forth I've been doing to Cincy, it's one of the few creative things I've completed!

11. Goose outfit

Yes, it's a Madeleine-style coat for my mother's cement lawn goose!  (I swear she means it ironically!)  She noticed last week that all outfits she got with the goose are holiday specific.  It's too soon for the Easter or St. Patrick's Day outfits, and too cold for the raincoat and hat.  So....  I'm not sure what happened to the matching black hat, but the little cap and scarf work nicely.  And I am inordinately pleased with the little white wing tips sticking out of the "sleeves"....

Thanks Always!

Love those floor cushions, smashu. That might be a good solution to a problem in my living room....

yofi, that coat is adorable! Smiley

Assuming it's not too late, I would like to join the craft along (if I can actually remember to update!). I was led to the post by P_E_S_T's felt elementals, and now looking through all of the posts (well...not ALL 136 pgs!) I'm inspired. I'm gonna list and cross off items that I've already crafted this year, as well.

In case you haven't noticed, I have a lot of WIPs. I have problems finishing...

completed
in progress

1. knitted fox hood
2. clothing: purple shorts- mccalls 5640
3. clothing: skirt-simplicity 3688
4. Goddess statue (Arianrhod)
5. Halloween costume (modified Snow White)
6. red pleather purse
7. Captain America shield blanket (as seen on Craftster)
8. wool dryer balls
9. marigold painting for living room
10. reusable produce bags for the grocery store
11. pom pom wreath (as seen on Craftster)
12. sanitizer holder for purse
13. inspiration message board
14. curling ribbon coasters

...to be continued...

Welcome!  never too late to join--50 is a goal, not a requirement...and we love fresh meat, I mean, new participants! Cheesy  Already added you to the first page so you can always find your list.  Looks like you have a plan all set to go! Cheesy

smashu--wow--those cushions turned out very nice!  I use my electric carving knife to cut foam--it is a bear to cut that stuff! Have you tried the cut to length zippers?  I use those in upholstery since you buy them by the inch...the only problem is that they only come in beige or black...I have dyed them successfully to match or at least blend in...I found them when I was making cushions for chair and just about tore my hair out trying to squeeze the cushion into the smaller opening! GRRRRRRRR!

yofi--I love the dressed up geese that people have...love that it is not a holiday specific outfit! Cheesy

I think it will count as a spring outfit?

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes 19 pages behind! I must have slept - but I don't remember  Grin

I can't remember who posted what but these stood out for me:

raindrop paintings - they are sensational!
quilted place mats - just lovely.
3d art with butterfly - love that - will have to go back and find the link to the process Smiley
matching outfits for girlies - love that they match but are different
one colour blanket - love the texture
needle felted element set - love the detail

Finally managed to get a picture of the jumper I knitted for DS1:

over half-term holidays there were craft sessions - I went to one on willow weaving and made these:

and took DS1 to a 2 day course and we made these:

origami boat, pom-pom cat and owl with features from felt that we had also made Smiley It took forever!

we also made a lovely note book with jar marble painted covers, but that has disappeared  Roll Eyes

My partner has received and posted pics for the Adults Only Swap Rd 7:

I made 3 sets of pasties (to match undies I purchased), 3 good and 1 wonky set of non-pierced nipple rings, a hand felted bar of soap with genitalia... however I don't think she opened the soap box. I resealed it back inside. There was also a yarn "tickler". Here's the link:
