J_Kieviet   The Valentine's outfit are great. i like that they go together but are not the same.

Sera unravled   Yeah for cat toy. Did you put catnip in the heart?

plaidpineapple  Wow! You are making your own pads?  And you manage to prevent them from leaking? Respect!

StickerChic87   Love the fabrics, the houses(both), the quote on the journal...

yep there is catnip in the heart.  both my cats go crazy for it. I think I'm going to make them more toys in the future.

kbrison- I had a hard time with the zipper on the left one. When I was finished, the fabric kept getting caught when I opened or closed it.

here's my February challenge entry, a Dr Seuss quilt for my cousin's little boy. It's about 40" square.

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

Whew! I have been around lurking, and crafting, but posting seems to have escaped me. Midterms have started for me, and I seem to feel perpetually sick.  Undecided
However, I did just turn 21, and now I can craft with a glass of wine, which feels quite classy.  Wink Even though I missed the February Birthday Swap, which I always love to do with my other February babies. Alas, maybe next year.

I finished three projects this month, which makes me feel like such a slacker.

Firstly, another hat. This one is part of a 21 random acts of kindness project that I did as my way of giving back for my birthday. It is going to go to one of the nice homeless people that frequently visit my place of work.

Secondly, my grandma sent me a cross stitch kit and a TON of aida fabric after she heard that I was going to embark on embroidery and cross stitch. It was such a great surprise to get mail that wasn't bills, and a good reminder about the importance of sending handwritten letters.
So I of course sat down and made this cross stitch right away. Here it is!

And finally, as another random act of kindness I made up 500 valentine's cards to give off on campus. Everyone deserves a valentine on Valentine's Day and it makes me sad that there are people who hate a day that is all about love! I may have scared some people by randomly approaching them on the street, but it was so much fun!

Everyone here had such a good month once again! And I'd like to give a special welcome to our latest participants! Keep up the amazing work everyone. All the talent on this board never ceases to amaze me.

You're a college student, you have a job, you craft, and you make time to do random acts of kindness? When do you find time to sleep?? And where do you find the energy to do all those things? Cut yourself some slack! You definitely are NOT a slacker!
