I am off the mark for February finally!!!  I have made 1 & half skirts.  I am struggling with the second because it is difficult to concentrate whilst watching the rugby  .
I have been slowly working on my knitted jumper too but that takes me so much longer, definitely can't knit and watch rugby.

Hopefully, I will have time to finish my second skirt before our guest arrives later.

Man, when I look at everyone else's projects, it makes me want to lengthen my own list... for example, I'm thinking maybe I also need a thread catcher and a repainted-frame pin cushion. So cool!

For the past couple of weeks I've been making journals/notepads out of record album covers (and the leftover scrap from the game boards I used to decorate my shoebox project, and Girl Scout cookie boxes...) I've made nine of them!











For the inside pages, I used fun and interesting papers that had at least one page with "writable area". It keeps to the recycled/repurposed theme, and also makes flipping through it a little adventure of discovery! It has been great to finally find a worthy purpose for a lot of the content of my paper stash.

I may have to try to sell these at craft fairs, because at this point I can't stop making them, but I already have way too many of them for me to use personally...

MissingWillow - love the palmistry hand pillow - did you embroider it or was it done by machine, I can't tell 

endymion - cool notebooks! I love mixed paper books like that. And what a great way to stashbust!


I'm continuing my crocheting streak with a few more hats, a head scarf, and a "lace" collar. I love stash busting! And I never quite realized how much purple yarn I have.



I'm in love with this basic chunky ear flap hat. It is so easy and relaxing to crochet and I love that it shows off the gorgeous colors of the yarn so well. I can see why some people love crocheting hat after hat after hat  And I also think I've realized that I enjoy short little crochet projects vs long ones: yay for instant gratification!

Here's the collar. It looks pretty but came out a lot bigger than I was expecting. Probably has to do with the thickness of the yarn.



And the head scarf, which was originally going to be a full shawl but I am not hugely fond of how the self striping sock yarn I used was turning out with this pattern. I still have tons of that yarn to use up.



In other crafting, I made a thank you gift for the Givers and Needers swap and it was received a bit ago so I can post now.



I think I might have to mount my stamps like this. It made stamping the images so much easier.
