FEBRUARY CHALLENGE (also on page 1)

1. Hearts or Valentine Day related---which means, pinks, red, whites and all combos are included
2. Something made of fabric
3. Something for a child or a pet

Remember that we only have 28 days  in February!

Whoo!  The items I posted today count!  They're pinks and white in color.   Grin

One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black gates are guarded by more than just orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep. The great eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire, ash, and dust. The very air you breathe is a poisonous fume.......

OMG - just been through 9 pages! All of it amazing stuff as well!

Thank you for the info on the wool dryer balls - would just using merino tops work? I know it sounds wasteful to those who felt (me included) but got some that I've had a while and its all started to felt to itself so really difficult to use.

I've used just roving for dryer balls and that worked fine.

I feel like I'm cheating with the challenges.  Most everything I make is for me, so January was easy, and it's mostly fabric, so February's probably in the bag too.  Tongue  Not really complaining, it's just kind of funny to me.

If there's ever a hat challenge I think me and That1girl will have it covered *lol*
"Purely Puffs" take 2
I did the sc edging using the 8mm hook I used for the rest of the hat and it fits fine and feels nice - no headache from a tight band round my head!

Sera, your bird suncatchers are neat. What are they made from?

Good luck, Always. I hope everything with your mother goes well.

alwaysinmyroom: Hope everything gets better with your mom. Best wishes!
PaperBeau: Awesome shoebox upcycle! The lid is my favorite part.
missmoppet: That scarf and hat set looks comfy, I'm sure the recipient will love it! Who doesn't love warm, comfy things?
that1girl: I love those slouchy hat, and the heads you display them on are cute!
Sera unraveled: Those purses are awesome, and lasagna with bowtie pasta sounds delicious!
Kookaloo_Starr: You are just a hat machine! I wish I could make hats so fast!

I'm excited for the February challenge, because I have been putting off two projects and they just happen to be made of fabric. Finally dragged out my hamper of fabric last night to start on them! So awesome!

For these dryer balls, I just used some scraps of felted (fulled?) sweaters for the center core, then wrapped it in some wool yarn I got on sale at hobby lobby.  I tied them up in a sock that had lost its mate, and ran it through the washer a couple of times (with the laundry).
