Those scarves are pretty.  They remind me of the luna lovegood ones i have seen.  Have you seen them?  I made one for my mom, so pretty and easy.  You should try making them too.

I got a friend's daughter's birthday gift finished last night! (Phew! Her birthday party is tomorrow, she is turning two.)  It's a matching scarf and hat and a little stuffed piggie.


I am loving these piggies.

OK--you guys we have had an awesome January!!!  82 pages of goodies, but I am sure some of you still need to post January projects...I am updating the list of eligible entrants for the prize and coming up with February challenges and prizes...how about we cut off Sunday, February 3, midnight, so I can announce a prize winner on Monday?

Great projects everyone.  I can't believe how much has been accomplished by this group in one month.  So many amazing things and the discussions are great too.  I love the sharing of ideas and brainstorming that takes place.  I know that happens on other boards but I don't have the time to check them all out.  So I get to hear about everything from building miniature tables to ideas for decorating cakes.... it is incredible to get exposure to so many different crafts.  

I appreciate the discussion on how to count projects.  This list is a way for each of us to document our progress.  We started adding reflections so our lab assignments so that students would take a moment to look back and see how much they really had learned.  It was eye-opening for them.  I view this list in the same way.  The number of projects is not as important as the individual progress each one represents.  

I use the list to record as much of what I make in a year as I can.  That means I include swap and sale items as well as personal crafting.  I have struggled with how to count multiples.  If I make a bunch of easy things in one sitting then I count them as one.  I also figure if they count as a medium project for a swap they count as one even if I make multiples.

I have 3 hats completed, but i still need to post photos.  I also have 3 in progress items that im working on now too.  I have a hard time working on one project at a time.  I need to get in the habit on only working one or two items at time.  When i work on more, it seems that all i have to show is many unfinished projects that im too lazy to finish.
